In Art class we work on new techniques to create unique expressions!
I believe that it's OK to make mistakes as that is how we learn. We draw, paint, and make sculpture with a variety of materials. Students will be reading about Artists in Scholastic magazines. They will also learn new vocabulary each week which relates to the lessons. Most writing on artists, techniques, and personal reflections will be done in class. Vocabulary tests are given at then end of a unit of study.
Grades are based on effort, craftsmanship, and participation. Art is a fun hands-on class with assignments that change according to the season. Please feel free to call me or email me with any questions about your student and their progress in Art.
