WORK EXPERIENCE/WORK RELEASE

DESCRIPTION:    

This class is an opportunity for students to earn credit by working at their current positions or by doing volunteer work.  Work Experience/Work Release students must also meet the following criteria and complete units involved.  STUDENTS CAN EARN 2 CREDITS TOTAL IN THEIR SCHOOL CAREER.

 1.       All WE/WR students must have a job to receive credit.

 2.     If you quit or lose your job during the course of the quarter, you must be re-employed by one week after termination.

 3.     WE/WR students must work an average of 15 hours per week.

 4.     If for any reason you decide to quit your job, please discuss this with your teacher beforehand.

 5.     Students can expect a site visit to their place of employment at least once a quarter.

 Work Experience/Work Release students will also be responsible for the following tasks:

     A.  Keep accurate time sheets

     B.  Write weekly work log

     C.  Two page final project on the work experience

     D.  Must turn in all paperwork to receive credit

     E.  Complete goal-setting unit

 **YOU WILL RECEIVE NO CREDIT IF YOU LOSE CREDIT IN ANY CLASS**
